Wash

  Grey and White Clouds

On my last trip to California for the Route 66 project, I decided to wander through the Mojave Desert and make photographs. Sunset was not far off.

As the sun ducked into and out of clouds, a bright sun spot glowed at the end of a wash.

Tumble weed, still anchored to the sand, dotted the landscape.

When it rains in the desert, the washes flood. Rushing tumbles rocks through the wash.

A hiking trail or and animal trail weaves between creosote bushes.
